These Delivery Partner Terms are an agreement between Bejjur Super Market ("Bejjur", "we", "us"), 1-14-378/3, Opp: MEE Seva, Ellagoud Thota, Kagaznagar - 504296, Dist. Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Telangana, and every person who applies to deliver orders through the Bejjur Delivery app ("you", "partner"). You accept them when you tick "I agree" in the app. They apply together with your Approval letter (the letter or app screen that confirms your work model, pay and start date) and our Privacy Policy. If they differ, the Approval letter decides your model and pay, these terms decide everything else, and the law overrides both.
1. Who can join
You can apply if you meet every condition below, and you must keep meeting them while you deliver for Bejjur:
- Age: 18 years or older.
- Driving licence valid for your vehicle (Motor Vehicles Act, 1988). Not needed for a bicycle.
- Vehicle registration (RC) in your name, or written permission from the owner.
- Vehicle insurance, at least third-party, valid on every day you deliver.
- Pollution certificate (PUC) for petrol and diesel vehicles.
- Identity proof: one government ID. If you use Aadhaar, upload the masked Aadhaar (only the last 4 digits visible). We never ask for or keep your full Aadhaar number.
- PAN (optional; without it, tax deducted from payouts may be higher).
- A bank account or UPI ID in your own name for payments.
- A clear photo (selfie), matched with your ID.
A person at Bejjur reviews every application, usually within 3 working days, and may call you. We approve, ask for more information, or decline with a reason. The app reminds you 15 days before your licence, insurance or PUC expires; you cannot go online with an expired document. A false or borrowed document ends the agreement at once and may be reported to the police.
2. Two ways of working: Model A and Model B
Your Approval letter states your model. It can change only through a new letter that you accept.
- Model A, employee: you are an employee of Bejjur on a monthly salary or hourly wage, with fixed shifts. The Code on Wages, 2019, the Code on Social Security, 2020, the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, the Industrial Relations Code, 2020 and the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988 apply to you.
- Model B, delivery partner: you are an independent partner, not an employee, paid a fee for each completed delivery. You are a gig or platform worker under the Code on Social Security, 2020.
As a Model A employee:
- You receive an appointment letter with your role, wage, shift, town and start date, and a probation period of 3 months.
- You work no more than 8 hours a day and 48 hours a week. Overtime is voluntary and paid at twice your ordinary rate.
- You get a paid weekly day off, and the paid leave, national holidays and festival holidays the law provides.
- You get statutory bonus, gratuity, provident fund and ESI where the law applies to Bejjur (section 4).
- During your shift you are expected to accept the orders offered to you, unless you have a good reason.
As a Model B delivery partner:
- You decide when and how much you work: go online and offline at any time. Bejjur does not set shifts, minimum hours or targets.
- You may decline any order. Declining never lowers your fee or stops you receiving future orders.
- You may also work for other businesses and platforms.
- You use your own vehicle and phone and pay their running costs (section 7).
- Once you accept an order, you must deliver it, unless something beyond your control stops you; then tell the store at once through the app.
3. Pay, statements, deductions and tax
- You see your exact pay in the app before you accept your Approval letter.
- Model A: your wage is never below the minimum wage that applies to your work in Telangana. Monthly wages are paid by the 7th day of the next month; hourly wages are paid weekly. You receive a wage slip every pay period showing hours, overtime, deductions and net pay.
- Model B: the fee for each delivery, and any distance or bonus amount, is shown in the app before you accept the order. Payouts are made weekly to your bank account or UPI ID, with a statement listing every delivery, its fee, the cash you collected and deposited, and any adjustment. We give 7 days' notice in the app before lowering any fee; if you do not agree, you may stop working with us.
- Deductions (Model A): only those the Code on Wages allows: tax, statutory contributions, advances, absence, and loss caused by your neglect after you have had a chance to explain. Deductions never exceed 50% of your wage for the period.
- Adjustments (Model B): only cash you collected and did not deposit (section 6), shown line by line in your statement. You have 7 days to dispute any line.
- Bejjur never charges a joining fee, registration fee or security deposit. If a bag or T-shirt is given, it remains Bejjur's property and must be returned when you leave.
- Tax: for Model A, income tax is deducted from salary only if your yearly income is taxable. For Model B, Bejjur deducts tax at source on contractor payments when the yearly total crosses the legal limit, and gives you a TDS certificate. You are responsible for filing your own income tax return.
4. PF, ESI, welfare benefits and insurance
- Bejjur pays every contribution the law puts on Bejjur, and never takes Bejjur's share out of your pay.
- Model A: provident fund (EPF), ESI, gratuity and employee's compensation for work injuries, wherever the law applies to Bejjur and to your wage.
- Model B: Bejjur registers you, with your consent, on the government portal for gig and platform workers, and reports when you stop working with us. Any contribution or welfare fee that the central or Telangana law places on Bejjur is paid by Bejjur and is never deducted from your fees.
- You must keep your vehicle insurance valid. Your Approval letter states whether Bejjur provides personal accident insurance for you while you are on a delivery, and its cover. If it does not, we strongly recommend you buy personal accident cover.
- After an accident on duty, report it in the app or by phone at once. Bejjur helps you with the insurance claim and any police report.
5. Working rules and safety
Safety comes before speed. Bejjur never asks you to break a traffic rule to deliver faster, and never penalises a late delivery caused by riding safely.
- You receive orders only from the town you chose. To change town, send a request in the app.
- An order offer rings on your phone. You have 10 minutes to accept it before it goes to another partner.
- Collect only the sealed order the store or seller hands you, and check the order number and item count.
- Hand the order only to the customer or the person they name, at the address in the app, and complete the delivery step in the app.
- Never open, swap, consume or hold back any item.
- Wear a helmet on a two-wheeler, and make sure any pillion rider does too.
- Do not use your phone while riding. Read the next order only when stopped.
- Never ride after drinking alcohol or taking drugs.
- Obey speed limits, signals and parking rules. Fines for your own traffic offences are yours to pay.
- Do not carry more than your vehicle can safely carry. Tell the store if an order is too heavy or bulky.
- In heavy rain, flood, riots or curfew you may pause deliveries; tell the store in the app.
- Be polite to customers. Do not enter a home unless invited for a reason linked to the delivery.
- Contact customers only through the app, and only about their order. Never save, share or use their phone number, address or details for anything else.
- Do not ask customers for extra money. A tip given freely is yours.
- Never carry anything outside the sealed order, and never carry alcohol, drugs, weapons or any illegal item.
- If a customer threatens, harasses or attacks you, leave safely and report it in the app or by phone. Bejjur will support you, including with a police complaint.
6. Cash on delivery
- Collect the exact amount shown in the app, give change, and mark the order as paid in the app. If the customer pays by UPI, it must be to Bejjur's official account shown in the app, never to your personal account.
- Deposit all cash you collect at your store the same day, or by the next working day at the latest, and get the deposit recorded in the app.
- Bejjur may set a limit on the cash you can hold. When you reach it, deposit the cash before taking more cash orders.
- Any shortage appears in your statement. You can explain it within 7 days. For Model A, recovery is made only as the Code on Wages allows; for Model B, the amount is adjusted against your payouts after you have had a chance to explain.
- If cash is stolen or robbed, report it to the police and to Bejjur at once. You will not be asked to repay it if you reported it promptly and were not at fault.
- Check notes for counterfeits. Do not accept a note you believe is fake; tell the store.
7. Vehicle, phone and costs
- Model B: you provide your own vehicle, fuel, maintenance, phone and mobile data. These costs are covered by your delivery fees.
- Model A: any fuel or phone allowance is stated in your appointment letter.
- Keep your vehicle roadworthy and its documents valid at all times.
8. Your personal data
- We collect and use your data as explained in our Privacy Policy: to verify that you can deliver safely, to offer you orders in your town, to pay you, and to meet tax and labour laws (including PF, ESI and gig-worker registration).
- Your documents are stored in private, encrypted storage in India and are seen only by authorised Bejjur staff. Your bank account number is stored encrypted.
- While you are online, the app may use your phone's location to offer nearby orders and show delivery progress. It does not collect your location when you are offline.
- Documents of applications that are not approved are deleted 90 days after the decision. Work and pay records are kept as long as the law requires.
- You can see, correct or delete your data and withdraw consent as explained in the Privacy Policy. If you withdraw consent needed to verify or pay you, we will not be able to continue the partnership.
9. Suspension and ending the agreement
- You may stop at any time. Model B: tell us in the app or by phone. Model A: give the notice in your appointment letter (7 days during probation, 30 days after confirmation), or Bejjur may accept a shorter notice.
- Bejjur may end the agreement with 7 days' notice for Model B, or with the notice or pay in place of notice in your appointment letter for Model A.
- Immediate suspension is possible for: an expired or false document, unsafe or drunk riding, theft or fraud, cash not deposited, harassment or violence, or a serious customer complaint under investigation. You are told the reason in writing and may reply within 7 days. A person at Bejjur, not an automated system, makes the final decision.
- Final settlement: Model A wages due are paid within 2 working days of your last day, as the Code on Wages requires. Model B fees due are paid within 7 days. Any cash you still hold, and the bag or T-shirt, must be returned.
10. Responsibility
- You are responsible for your own traffic offences and for loss or damage you cause deliberately or by gross negligence.
- Bejjur is responsible for paying you correctly and on time, and for its legal duties as your employer (Model A) or as the platform you work through (Model B).
- Nothing in these terms takes away any right the law gives you.
11. Complaints, harassment and disputes
- For any problem with pay, orders, your account or a customer, use Help in the app, call or WhatsApp +91 8106021611, or e-mail [email protected]. We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 15 days. You can also contact our Grievance Officer (see Grievance Redressal).
- Sexual harassment at work is not tolerated, including by customers. Complaints are handled under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, through Bejjur's Internal Committee where one is required, or the Local Committee of Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district.
- No partner will be treated unfairly for raising a complaint in good faith.
- These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will first be discussed with you. Model A employees keep every right under the labour laws, including approaching the labour authorities. Otherwise, the courts at Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district, Telangana have jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We tell you about changes in the app at least 7 days before they apply, and ask you to accept them again. Lower fees for Model B follow section 3. If you do not accept a change, you may stop working with us, and you will be paid everything due.
13. Language and acceptance
These terms are written in English. Bejjur staff will explain them to you in Telugu or Hindi on request. Your acceptance in the app, with the date and time, is recorded as an electronic agreement under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
